father's day, new bed and more swimming

Some of the positions this monkey gets himself into just cracks me up.

I was horrible this year for fathers day. I bought this stuff for Brandon  for Brax to give him and let him color some paper ties to decorate with. On sunday I completely forgot that it was Father's Day. I got so busy and tired that I crashed early and completely forgot to call my grandpa and Brandon forgot to call his Dad. So...sorry we love you and happy belated Father's Day.
While knocking doors last week Brandon ran into a guy who was selling this bed frame, headboard, and night stand that had only been used for a few months for 80% less than his son bought it for. It is awesome! and sturdy and should last Brax until he's at least 14.

He is still obsessed with swimming.
but it was getting a little old, so I took him to the dollar store and got him a water stick and some water bomb balls to play with at the pool.

 Snack Time!
We always have a snack at the pool before we go home.

I finished my second craft project that I had on my list... I took my old cork board apart and added some foam padding, satin, some fabric flowers and old earrings that were tarnished and some ribbon.

 TADA!
I didn't exactly plan on having the "memories" title at the top but I let brandon use it a while back and he used super glue to stick a piece of paper on the top. So there was the glue residue that wasn't very pretty so a few layers of paint and some lettering and I think it turned out nice.

Brax really wanted to go swimming last week and was too tired to take him so I filled a bowl full of ice cubes and water and he was entertained for about 2 hours.

I really didn't mean to dip his whole face in the water.. oops... I wanted to dip his nose and snap a picture at the same time.

He thought it was funny after a minute...
dipping his head was the funniest thing for him to do.

 dipping his back in
Feet too!

Giving a try to dip his little tooshie

And his new bike!
I stopped by a garage sale randomly and found this bike in great condition for only $7! I couldn't just leave it we were planning on upgrading him to one just like this in the fall but a new one cost about $50. When I told Brandon how much I got it for he was blown away and said that he would of been fine with it being $15. Big Score!

And we hit the pool at least 2x a week with friends and he is turning into my little fish he gets in no problem stairs or not.

Catching up on our last month in TX

We have been spending the past week or so down at the pool, our first time there Brax was too afraid to get in all the way so I let him just stay on the stairs and play since it was a little chilly. The second time we went I made him learn how to float by himself with his cool little life jacket, once he figured out that he was okay and not going to sink he loved it.  Then I taught him how to kick his legs to swim across pool all by himself. He thought he was the coolest little thing ever! He swam across the entire pool about 10 times. As soon as we got home and changed he passed out on the couch for a few hours.

He thinks he's pretty smart stuff

The camera was still on zoom and I didn't know it but he's just too cute so I kept the pic.

He came up to me dressed like this, in daddy's shoes and hat, so I grabbed the camera, but it didn't focus right and then he took them both off. So even though the pic is blurry its still pretty cute.

He wanted to play outside so badly and we were waiting for dad who was coming home earlier than normal since it was Saturday. So I gave him a squirt gun and told him to go wait for dad. He thought it was funnier to spray mom.

 Then he spotted dad!

This child is so difficult to wash his hair in the tub. He kicks, screams, and eventually cries cause water got on his face. So I tried something new...Salon Style in the kitchen sink! He loved it and thought it was super fun.  I put some cotton balls in his ears so no water could get in them and a towel on his face and he was happy.

Brandon wanted to go swimming monday evening when he got home from work, so I got brax dressed and went and watched them swim. Brax was in heaven that he got to swim with dad at night.

Last week the office was having a competition and so on Thursday ( which is usually their basketball night ) the managers brought dodge balls for an intense game, of course, of Dodge Ball.
I only had my phone since I thought we were going to watch basketball so these are a few of the best pics I could get in the gym with my phone.

Another fun lil' thing I've been doing is learning how to make different fabric flowers and bows with my fabric scraps. This one is my first and I'm way happy with it.

While walking around our complex the other night Braxton almost stepped on this giant frog...scared the crud out him but then he wanted to grab it. We've seen it a few times. He is constantly asking me to go find the froggy.

I emptied my phone of pics, and found these on here of when we first moved in. Our bath tub is huge and he loves it! He  thinks he is swimming when he is in there.

I was making myself a bath and left for a minute to walk back in and find this. He thought he was pretty sneaky.

 His first balloon baby!
I was trying to teach him to be soft and gentle. But he dropped it and it died.

He should of listened to mom!
He was helping me make breakfast like he does all the time and reached out and grabbed the wrong edge of the griddle. OUCH! His first real burn. All four fingers, but I was quick enough to grab his hand off that only on finger got a blister the rest were just really red for the rest of the day.

His first Butterfly!
 Who's there?
Looking through the peep hole while waiting for mom to finish getting ready to leave.
 Plastered himself with stickers.

He is definitely keeping me busy. I am so tired most days and now require at least 11 hours of sleep to function properly. Oh and to add to the tiredness I have allergies, my ears and nose have been driving me nuts! So besides that and the humidity, we are enjoying ourselves down here in Austin and are counting down the days to when we get to go home, have our doggies back and start another chapter in our lives that will be even more busy.  This first month as flown by and fingers are crossed that the remainder of the summer does the same.

Our little bundle that's on it's way is growing nice and strong, I have been able to feel it wiggling and kicking like crazy for the past week.  I am 19 weeks as of tomorrow.  Almost half way there! And I'm getting bigger and bigger! My belly is finally past my chest as of last Saturday. (yay me) Braxton is convinced that it is a girl (without any coercion from me ) and frankly so am I, Brandon feels that it is too but won't admit it anymore he keeps telling Brax that he's going to have a little brother. He has even given me permission to garage sale and get a medium size box full of little girl clothes. We have decided to wait till we get back home to find out the sex of the baby. I've finally come to accept that.

A little note on Brandon, He is doing really well with selling down here. He has been salesman of the week 3 out of 4 weeks! He is actually enjoying selling this summer, even thought its humid it's not that hot to him. And he is keeping on track for getting the amount of sales that he wants to get which is awesome!
