Random Day-to-Day Funnies

LOL! Anyone who know's or has played sports with Brandon or any of his family know they sweat a little much. Well my poor boys have inherited this gene :(... I was playing with Braxton tonight and he was dancing around catching the football and whatever and he stops moving and says "mom, stop, I need a towel." grabs a towel and wipes his head then says, very frustrated "ugggh! Dad gave me his sweaty's!" Then sigh's shakes his head, wipes it again, then tosses the towel on his head and goes outside. LOL!! Got a good laugh out of it.
Braxton was looking at our wedding pictures and said "Mom! you were a princess?!"
I have my child believing that the t.v. talks to me and doesn't work when the front room is too messy. It's worked the last 3 times, we'll see if it works today.
President Monson came on the tv and braxton ran and got his picture and sat down in front of the tv.
I'm a little worried to go into the kitchen right now, I was hearing a lot of noise and then Brax came skipping into the front room giggling and stopped and looked at me with a large silly smile. Me: What did you do? Brax: (big smile) no. Then he runs away. *sigh*
I was at the grocery store when a lady walked past me and tells the lady next to her oh my goodness look at that beautiful baby, looking at logan, and then she says, and then they grow up. then she walks away. It took me a minute, then I was like what the? are you calling my other son or your kids ugly? weird!
I was rocking Logan to sleep and Braxton came up and kissed his head and then started to sing "rock a go baby, rock a go, baby Logan Hawkes" haha! I love this kid, apparently he doesn't want Logan to rock a "bye".
Logan is asleep and then all I hear from Braxton is "mom, I'm tired" me: do you want to take a nap? "no"...Then dead silence look over at him 30 seconds later and he is out cold.
After lots of giggles and kisses attacks laying on the bed with my boys, Logan decides to end it all by puking on me. I mean on my mouth, up my nose and down my shirt. This is the first time I've every been puked on from above and it better be my last. Brax about lost his dinner when he looked at me and why I jumped up so quickly. The boys are now in bed and I'm taking another shower.
Oh boy...I just made a "Snack Box" and explained to Braxton how it worked. When he helps me and does what I ask him to he get to chose a special snack. The following conversation: Me: Will you pick up your toys and put them in the toy box and then you can have a special snack. (there's like a total of 10 toys out) Brax: ummm, I have an idea! (big pause and mischievous smile) You clean up all the toys and I'll get a snack. Ok! That's a good idea....
Ahh, reverse psychology works every time with this kid. He wouldn't eat the sandwich he asked for. So I put it down next to him and said "you can't eat that! It's will make you grow big and strong and I want you to stay cute and small. Don't touch that!) Of course he grabbed it the second he thought I wasn't looking and devoured the whole thing. When I asked him why he just ate it, "I want to grow big big big!" Me: Oh, was it yummy? "Yep :)"
Brandon was home the other morning cause he didn't feel very good so he was resting on the couch. Braxton went up to him, took the remote off his tummy and said "Dad, you go work I want watch spongebob squarepants." HAHA!!
We were all sitting and watching TV, Brax was sitting on my lap, squishing my tummy a little bit. The baby was going nuts wiggling and pushing back. I told Braxton that the baby was kicking his bum for sitting on it.  He got this funny smile on his face, jumped off and got close to my tummy and said "no, bad baby, bad baby you no kick Braxton's bum." It was so freaking funny!!
As we were finishing getting ready to move to Austin from Thatcher, Brandon asked me if I was ready to do nothing and sit at home all day while he knocks doors all day. My reply was that while he is knocking doors, I'll be entertaining a 3yr old and growing a person inside my body. His reply "ya okay, that sucks, I'd rather knock doors."
Every time I tell brax I'm going to take a shower and for him to sit still and watch tv for a min he takes off and beats me to the bathroom and strips off his clothes and says that it's his bath. *sigh* At least it's not a fight to get him to take a bath anymore. Our tub is so big it's like he is swimming. He takes 2 baths a day. Now getting his hair washed is another story/fight all together.

Braxton put some pirate treasure beads on my head and said "mom you're a princess" I then put them on his head and said "and you're a prince!" He replied in a very serious tone "no mom, I'm the King."
I locked myself in Braxton's room so I can work on my essay and dad made him very angry to the point of uncontrollable bawling by the time he got to me. I let him explain what happened and then I said "I'm sorry, stop crying you're ok." He looked at me all angry and started yelling at me "GET OUT!!! GET OUT!! MY ROOM! GET OUT" So I left and locked myself in the store room and he hasn't bugged me since.

Mother nature played a joke on Braxton this morning! He walked around the house with daddy when I had to leave for work and as I started the car he came bolting back around the house with a terrified look on his face and brandon behind him laughing. Well there was a tumble weed whirling around in a dust devil and whipped right past him and then turned around and whacked him in the bum! I wish I could have seen it, Brandon said it was the funniest thing he screamed and took off running.

My reaction to the snow this morning was to go back to bed and wish for my warm AZ weather and Braxton's was "YAY! Snowman!" another later comment from him when we had to go out in the cold was "Brrr...It's snowman cold mom"

Brandon came home from school and started teasing Brax and I who were still in bed watching tv. Well it continued to where brandon had brax pinned and was pretending like he was going to spit on his head (horrid I know) While he was freaking out, I was telling brandon to stop it and that he was teaching Brax bad things...A few minutes later Brandon was laying on his stomach, Brax jumped on his back...then spit on his head!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!! I busted up laughing so hard I started to cry! I told him so!

I caught my son peeing out the back door and then watched him manage to pee on his own head! :S LOL! He didn't appreciate the scrub down shower he got afterwards.

I just tried to sing "once there was a snowman" with Braxton and he got this confused face and frustratingly walked over to the window opened the curtains and yelled at me "There's no snow!!" LOL!
Braxton knows I have chocolate in the store room and he keeps banging on the childproof door and yelling "where's my chocolate!!!!!!!"
Cooper just ate the last of Braxtons orange! This dumb dog will eat anything! Honestly what dog eats an orange!? Lucky runs at the smell of them.

I didn't want Braxton to go outside because he wouldn't listen to me so I made him a deal if he could get his shoes on all by himself he could go out. Jokes on me, the lil punk can get his shoes on all by himself. He has been playing me the whole time.

I think I have too much on my mind today.
Braxton asked for lunch 15 minutes ago, so i walked into the kitchen and forgot what I was doing till he yelled out "Mom! I hungry! Please!" OOPS! Grabbed him some food and gave it to him and he politely said "Tank You" like he hadn't been waiting 20 minutes. Sorry Sweetheart.

Braxton "aka Buzz Lightyear" jumped off the couch to shoot the dogs with his lazer last night and twisted his ankle, now he is hobbling around and collapsing while screaming. Then just two seconds ago tried to jump off the couch again. Come on! Common Sense Brax!

I finished my fairy costume and tried it on. And Braxton looked at me and said "pretty fly". Then he ran away and got the fly swatter and started hitting me. :) Goofy.

I let Braxton go to the bathroom by himself. I thought he'd been in there to long so I go to check on him and he had unrolled the TP and emptied the laundry basket and he hadn't even gone pee yet. *sigh* oh the joys of little boys.

While wrestling with brax he accidentally drooled on my shirt, he saw it and started to laugh, pointed and said "I spit! I spit! hahahahahaha sorry" then tried to wipe it off. :)

My two year old is telling me I have too much homework. It took me a few times to figure it out but, every time I sit down to the computer to start working he grabs my arm and tells me he has to pee. So i jump up and take him to the bathroom and then he says no and runs the other way to his room. I think we'll take a long walk outside and get his energy out.

After watching Transformers, Braxton came pounding on the bathroom door and started yelling "Mom! No locked doors in my house. Hello? No locked doors in my house!" Lol, nutty kid.

Braxton wanted to play a game with Brandon on his computer. Brandon was downloading some stuff on his computer and convinced Brax that it is an awesome game to watch the blue downloading bar grow. Every time it moves Brax yells "It's growing!!!" HaHa!

Braxton was yelling at me across the room, I kept saying "what" and then he finally says "mom, look at my eyes, listen, thanks for the chips and cheese." At least he's listening when I talk to him and he's polite too.

brax came up to me and said here mom get up i got you a pillow, he put it behind my back and then said okay, now give me your phone. Smart little punk.

I was laying down for a minute and Brax came in and asked "mom, i lay you too?" (asking to lay with me) He cuddled up and then I mentioned my tummy hurt, he got up and pulled on my hand "come on mom, we go eat." He tries to be so helpful :)

I told Brax he's a crazy kid, his response "mom i not crazy kid, I a cute kid!" me: ok, you're a cute crazy kid! He laughed "I not a cute crazy kid mom" me: then what are you? Brax: "I a Braxton."

When Braxton was just barely one year old, we were at the mall and I was letting him run around.  Apparently the large window at the gap were extremely clean. He was running full speed towards the display behind the glass. He did not see the glass. He left a clean impression of his cute little nose, forehead and lips on the window!  he didn't cry, he was just very confused. after I ran over to him and made sure he was okay I busted up laughing so hard. Everyone around me gave me these very disapproving looks as I picked up my baby who had just ran into the glass wall, as i continued to laugh my head off.

Logan is now one and seems to be following in his brothers footsteps. We were waiting in the WIC office and Logan went running up to the door that had a pane of glass that looked like a window. Well poor little Logan tried to stick  his head out that window look-a-like and smashed his little face hard right on the glass. He was pretty upset afterwards but it was pretty funny to watch.

my poor little Braxton came into my room yesterday morning completely devastated on the verge of tears, when I asked him what was wrong he tearfully said, "there's no presents... Santa didn't come!" it was so sad, but so funny I had to explain to him that Christmas wasn't for a while, then he was ok.

Logan has been Braxtons little copycat shadow today, everything Braxton does Logan can do too. he's now a pro at climbing on the couch and is walking around calling Braxton "brabra".

I just overheard Braxton sing this song to Logan. It's Christmas time, it's Christmas time Santa's bringing me presents, hooray!

I just put little knit gloves on Logan and he's acting like a puppy with tape on it's paws! LOL!

As President Monson came on in the last session my constant rampaging 11 month old stops dead in his tracks looks at the tv, comes over to me and climbs on my lap, holds still and watches Pres. Monson for his entire talk! He would stare aimlessly at the tv and then wave at it and clap, then repeat. So cute :)

Braxton:  mom, get a drink of water for me... mom, get a cookie for me... mom, I'm hungry again... mom, i'm four. you do it for me... He is perfectly capable of doing it all by himself. I have a feeling today is going to be a very whiny day. *sigh*

I'm sitting here eating some noodles and Logan looks at me and screams as loud as he can when I take a bite...I look at him and he stares me down with a slight smile, So I gave him a little piece of noodle and his response was mmmmmmmm as he attempts to gum it to death.
I told Braxton to go get dressed he came to me "mom's something's wrong, these pants are too short."
Lol! Me: " well that's because those are Logan's pants"

I just put Logan up close to the mirror to look at himself. He was really curious and then got nose to nose with his reflection and jumped back and started to cry. Now every time I put him up close he panics and tries to run the other way. HaHa! sad baby, but it's funny! Oh it's time for bed

I have my Braxton believing that the t.v. talks to me and doesn't work when the front room is too messy. It's worked the last 3 times, we'll see if it works today.

I was weeding out in the front yard I knew Brax was in the backyard and Logan was down for a nap. I stood up because I could hear braxton screaming louder than he normally screams when he's playing and saw this site. little did I know he turned the water all the way up and went in the house and change into a "Logans" swimsuit which was showing his little bum. he was not happy with me when I turned off the water and forced him to come inside and take a luke warm shower which he said was so hot it was burning him. it was actually kinda cold. Sneaky little monkey
so Logan started talking better this week so you can understand him a little bit more and we are walking through Walmart this morning and he starts yelling out chocolate which now sounds like chocolate now that he can talk better. I tell him no we don't need chocolate, about 3 times, until I look up and see where he's pointing. He's pointing at a black guy restocking shelves and yelling at him chocolate! chocolate! With a big smile on his face. Realizing what he is saying I'm immediately embarrassed. The guy could understand him and was laughing while saying hi to him.

Logan came wandering out of his room and kept making this horrid face every time he put his hand up to his mouth. I went over to him and grabbed his hand to see what it was...he had removed the 9 volt battery from braxton's RC car control and was repeatedly sticking it to his tongue. *sigh*

my kids are not tired and I am beyond exhausted with a headache, and no daddy here to take them. so I put Logan in his crib with a bottle and told brax to play and watch him cause I was going to go outside in clean up the garbage the dogs got into, but I'm not, I am sitting here on the couch in the dark listening to them giggle and scream.

November 9,2012 - Braxton's reaction this morning, "(very excitedly) Mom! it snowed! Is is it Christmas time now!?"

I would say I have successfully made we woody's head out of sugar, I showed it to Braxton from far away and he about had a heart attack because he thought I popped the head off his toy.

My sweet little boy had his first primary program today! He got up there and said his line perfectly (even though he said it so fast you couldn't really understand him)
Then after the second song I looked at him and his face when white and he looked at me with this panicked face and then covered his mouth and made the puke face.
I panicked thinking "Oh my goodness please don't puke on the stage!" I gestured for him to run to me and then we walked out to the hall and I calmed in down gave him some pretzels and some water.
He was so nervous he about threw up all over the stage.

Brandon came home and went in to kiss Logan (who was already asleep) and came back laughing and said that he had two urges in there, one was to kiss him and the other was to pour water on his head! Seriously! Good thing he made the right choice.
He asked me if that was bad and I just gave him the "you've got to be kidding" face.

I hate it when your outside and you think you see something in the shadows down the street and think "oh it just a shadow, grow up" and then you look again just to be sure and it's a lot closer to you the second time. Don't know what it was, but lets just say I ran like a little girl.

Braxton just came and climbed on my bed with me. Needless to say he is a boy and he "bubbled" in my bed. I grabbed him and wrapped him in the blanket and said "hey! there's no stinkin' in my bed!!" His response: "Hahahahah! but I'm on dad's side!"

Braxton holding a Rolly Polly Bug: It's a Rolly Peetle! Lol, I have tried correcting him on what kind of it bug it is, but he insists that it's a Rolly Peetle and its too cute. So they are now called Rolly Peetles.

Shaylee loves ice cream and she is addicted to chocolate, she's definitely my daughter!
I was sharing my Mint Chocolate Creamy with her and every time she takes a bite she slowly close her eyes! lol

Logan is learning how to pedal on his tricycle and so he drags his feet when not pedaling. Grrr! He is not allowed to wear socks when he is playing outside even with his shoes on cause he takes them off to jump and then doesn't put them back on. He probably ruined 10 pairs before both boys were given new closed toe sandals.

Braxton cried his little eyes out when he found out there was no school the day he was supposed to take in his star of the week poster :( Sad boy.

Brax: mom, we need to build a robot.
Me: why?
Brax: to do all my chores! *sigh* my arms get so tired when i have to do chores.

I'm waiting in the car for brax to get out of school and I hear a tearing sound, i turn around and look at Logan and he is shredding his pants! With his bare hands. *sigh*

It was a mistake to watch the Croods with Logan, it has brought out the cave man in him. Pounding, jumping, roaring in our faces, etc.

May 2012-Last night Brandon was snoring so loud it was hurting my ears, so I nudged him and told him to change positions. (nightly occurrence) He rolls over, like normal, but then he adds "I read a recent study today that people who snore a lot are more likely to get cancer..." Then he goes on about the study and passes out with in seconds and starts snoring (quietly) again. What the!? HAHA! Like I really needed to hear that right before I fall asleep.
