I forgot to post all these pics of our home project, mainly cause it too so long to finish.
So we had to replace our flooring from a leak that went unfixed while we were gone. We were lucky enough to find some nice porcelain tile for .99 a sqft! So we started a horrid process of tearing up our floor and learned how bad the damage actually was.
Brandon and his dad were tearing up the floor and cut a hole to see if there was a sub floor and what needed to be done. Well the floor was so weak that when Brandon's dad stepped near the hole he fell through the floor.
So we replaced the main flooring that was damaged really bad and then layed some 1/4 in plywood down on top of it. Then started the to tile! It actually wasn't as bad as I thought, messy, but not bad. I actually layed 1/2 the kitchen, a little over 3/4 of the laundry room, and the whole bathroom.
Brandon cutting tile. I even did this too. My first time I was terrified that I was going to mess up or break something. It was pretty easy, but super wet. I didn't realize that the blade hot so much water directly at your stomach while you were cutting until it was my turn.
The kitchen all laid and drying for 24 hours.

What the finished product looked like, the grout is actually a little lighter than what is shown here, it was still wet when I took the picture.
Then we moved onto the bathroom.
The ugly old flooring that was underneath the sheet of wood previously laid before we moved in.
Not quite done yet, after it was all dried I cut and mortared coving for the laundry and bathroom to prevent any more damage. Then I went through and grouted everything.

At first I only painted the cabinets but then had the idea to paint the wall between the top and bottom to make it look like one big piece of furniture. So I ran it past Brandon and he thought it would look good too, so I did it.
And we loved it!
The kitchen all finished and a mess too.
I did the laundry room too, This whole room was white including the cabinets.
And the bathroom too! It's amazing how some paint can transform a house.
After I had it painted, I thought it would look good to age the cabinets...
In my opinion made it look even better!
The only down side is that you can see every little fingerprint now :)
Brax even got into the painting which was nice but slowed things down a bit.
We got all the painting and floors done and then we moved, so I hope our renters enjoy it and keep it all nice till we get back to enjoy it ourselves.
