I'm glad I listened!

Last week on Braxton had been begging me all morning to go for a walk to the "fun" park. The park closest to us isn't that fun for him. But about half mile away there is this small "super fun" park right inside a neighbor hood that our walking path goes by. We go there about once a week. So, I finally gave in and said "okay let's go".  I got everything ready and as I was filling up our water bottles I had thought run through my head to check my card to see it the money had been transferred so I could go get groceries.  And sure enough it had! YAY! So I convinced Braxton that we would go for a fun "walk" around the grocery store and that he could get a treat if we went there first instead of go walking.  So we left around 11:15am and went to Albertsons.
Then 2 hours later we returned to see the very bridge we walk over on our walks covered with a dozen police cars, the whole bridge and about 100ft surrounding it marked off with CRIME SCENE tape, and about 15-20 people standing on the sidelines, the CRIME LAB VAN was there and police were encircled around something I couldn't see next to the Coroners Van parked on the grass near the canal.  My first thought was "OMG, someone was murdered!"  This bridge is also only about 800ft from my building.

So that night I got online and search the local news stations to see if I could find something about what had happened so close to us.  Turns out around 11:30am a person out walking called 911 and reported a the body of a man under the bridge under about 1ft of water. The police suspected that is was an older man who had disappeared the night before.

I am so glad I listened! We very well could have been the people to find this poor man. It was the exact route we were going to walk that morning.

More Random Pics from the past few weeks.

Dr. Hawkes

And his patient

These boys love to look out the window :)

This horse is at the King Sooper's grocery store across the street from us and get this... It's .01 that right a penny, for a 1 minute ride. It's awesome I never have to tell him he can't ride it cause it is so darn cheap. He pays for it himself each time.

Nana sent a pkg! Braxton was over the moon to have a full bag of gummy worms.

And Logan was extremely curious of the little elmo car.

Emptied the dishwasher without being asked!

Our "Naked Egg Experiment"
We took a whole egg from the fridge and put it into a cup of vinegar and let it sit for 24 hrs.

All bubbly!

After 24hrs!

Time to rub off the shell

Voila! A Naked Egg! It was really cool and squishy and then being the boy that he is he wanted to pop it. So we did I set it in the bowl and then he stabbed it with a fork.
Video on FB.

He into that "Oh my goodness my diaper is off! ROLL AWAY! ROLL AWAY!" stage.

Got him in a headlock, now what.

Cute Bugs!
I have no clue what they were looking at...I was the only one home. hmmm

He loves this Fresh Food Feeder!

Braxton plastered these sticky note hearts all over the house on every wall and everyone.

First Backpack ride, He loves to pull hair.

Our complex is covered in bunnies, we saw our first baby the other day.
Braxton's words "I want to kick it!?"

Rock Climbing Man!

Braxton would not believe me that these pant were Logans. He was so convinced they were his, his response was "Mom I show you, I put them on". Oh goodness

Giving the Logan Man a ride in the wagon trailer around our deck.

The Vacuum master

OUT COLD!

We bought a small pool to put out on the deck to splash in. He was in heaven.

And I wish I would have bought one of these when we moved here. It makes giving these two a bath so much easier. I bought it for the pool when it opens but figured our tub is big enough so why not give it a try.

While we were at Walmart Braxton really wanted to buy some flowers. I told him lets go choose some seeds instead and grown our own! He was all for that, so I let him choose and he chose some big orange sunflowers. I already had a big empty pot, so when we got home and put Logan to sleep we went out to the deck and started planting. I also grabbed some beans to plant too. We put one of each seed in a glass jar with some moist paper towels so that he could see the progress of his seeds growing in the dirt.

Nothing like an unhealthy but tasty lunch on a STICK!
Everything is better on a stick, isn't it? Well, to this kid it is.
Chicken Nuggets and Cinnamon Sugar Toast cut up and on a stick.

 BATH TIME!
(Before I bought the baby floaty above)
Look who can sit up in the tub!

I have a picture quite similar like this of Braxton, haha
