Exactly Two Years Later!

My Sweet Baby is Gone, I now have a 2 year old!
A quick overview of how much Braxton has changed in two years.

BRAXTON'S 2nd BIRTHDAY!

His smoking Choo Choo Cake! It didn't smoke as much as I wanted it too but it was good enough for a little 2 year old

THE PINATA!!
It was so hard and most the kids didn't really understand what to do and when they did they got really embarassed when we cheered. Brandon even tried to brake it open and ended up bending my broom stick! He had to rip it open with his hands after stabbing it.

Brax grabbed a sucker and he was a content with that, I kept telling him to grab more but he would just look at all the candy occasionally picking one up then dropping it.
All he wanted to do was eat his sucker.

Braxton yelling NO NO NO! because Jared blew out his candles on the first time, ya know its a two year old thing.

We re-lite the candles so brax could blow them out again and again and again!

Everyone cheered for him after he blew out the candles and he started crying and came a running

opening the presents!

The big presents from mom and dad!

 The Birthday Decorations

Playing with all his new toys!
He got a set of nerf sports balls from his summer friends Jared and Kinlee,
Three Disney books and a Tigger and Pooh coloring book with crayons from his new friends Jaden and Zoe,
From Grandma Merry and Grandpa he got all the Handy Manny Tools!!
(which he uses to fix everything, he is a little handy man himself.)
From Nana Heidi and Grandpa he got the Hot Wheels race track with launcher and car!!
( Everyone had fun with it)
And from Mom and Dad he got the Kitchen set, Teeter Totter, CARS Hat and light up shoes.

 Majority of his presents

Finally eating his birthday cake after everyone had left and he calmed down from all the excitment.
He kept kissing the "train engineer" giraffe, it was funny.

He loves his Choo Choo Train!

The tiredness finally set in around 10:30pm, he ended up chillin on the chair with his birthday cup.

The escaped monkey coming to deliver a birthday present

And this poor monkey didn't survive until Braxton's birthday, It was viciously attacked by the birthday boy before he had a chance to even be on the cake. So I put the monkey with a bite out of his head on anyway. I wasn't going to make another one.

And I couldn't forget to put his favorite "brother" on the cake. Presenting Lucky entirely made of sugar! When I was all finished with it I showed it to Braxton and he got so excited and was giggling as he was saying "Lucky! Lucky!"

He started eating the little decorations on the engine and I kept asking him to stop but he would just laugh at me and toss another in his mouth.

He loves his new kitchen he has been playing with it ever since I brought it in the house this morning.

Some funny things that happened while the camera was stopped:

While Braxton was blowing out his candles he got a little to close and his nose almost hit the fire, he jumped back really quick grabbed his nose and started yelling "HOT HOT! NOSE HOT!" It was hilarious! We kept telling him to back up but he wouldn't listen.
And this one isn't about brax but it was hilarious. Jaden and Brax were playing with the race track and some cars when Zoe (Jaden's 1 yr old sister) sat on the tracks. Jaden yelled "There's a moose on the tracks, Mom there's a Moose on the tracks!!" It was so funny, it got even funnier when his mom said that a moose is a step up and that he usually calls her a Cow!

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Little Boy!

A Sweet little Story for and about Braxton

(this is more for my memory, but feel free to enjoy. This is actually true.)

IT’S NAP TIME!

It happens every day about the strike of 2:00, mommy yells its nap time brax and guess what you will hear next, tiny running footsteps and a little sweet voice, yelling no no no!
But once he’s caught there’s no turning back, and heart wrenching struggle begins.
Braxton started jumping on the bed the second his tiny feet hit it, his mommy scooped him up, laid him down softly and whispered its nap time sweetie pie, in response he started to cry and scream ever so loudly.
His Mommy started to sing sweet songs for this had worked before, but after two songs the screaming went on and he started to hit his mom!
Knowing his temper and tantrum order she grabbed him and held him tight, so as not to hit his mommy or get hurt himself this time. He thrashed and kicked and was told to calm down as his mommy started to cry. She didn’t like to do this to him, but she wasn’t going to give into this fight. He needed his nap or the whole day would be miserable.
She stood him up and wiped away his tears and gave him a kiss on the cheek, he stopped crying when she sat up and held him tight and then she started to tell him his story…
“Once there was a sweet little boy who hated to take his nap, he kicked and he fought and really quite rotten to his mommy who loved him so much, she would snuggle and cuddle and whisper in his ear so that he would calm down…”
He slowly calmed down and listened, not another word spoken. So she laid him down so slowly, he started to whimper and she said “Now, be the nice little boy you are.” He laid there so still and stared at the ceiling listening to this story, his eyes started to roll and close half way and then he would realize they were closing; they’d pop back open as fast as they could and listen to more of the story…
“His puppy was sleeping just like Brax should be, but that silly boy brax, he fought and he fought not physically keep in mind, but mentally you could see. With his eyes rolling back and his little jumps trying to stay awake…”
Finally his eyes were closed his breathing was slow and deep and he received a small kiss on his sweet little cheek, as his mommy quietly crept out of the room she whispered “Good night, Brax.” And as she went on to continue her day, knowing full well that tomorrow around the same time, this adventure would begin again, with a small shred of hope that tomorrow he would give in.
Good Night My Sweet Brax
