A Sweet little Story for and about Braxton

(this is more for my memory, but feel free to enjoy. This is actually true.)

IT’S NAP TIME!

It happens every day about the strike of 2:00, mommy yells its nap time brax and guess what you will hear next, tiny running footsteps and a little sweet voice, yelling no no no!
But once he’s caught there’s no turning back, and heart wrenching struggle begins.
Braxton started jumping on the bed the second his tiny feet hit it, his mommy scooped him up, laid him down softly and whispered its nap time sweetie pie, in response he started to cry and scream ever so loudly.
His Mommy started to sing sweet songs for this had worked before, but after two songs the screaming went on and he started to hit his mom!
Knowing his temper and tantrum order she grabbed him and held him tight, so as not to hit his mommy or get hurt himself this time. He thrashed and kicked and was told to calm down as his mommy started to cry. She didn’t like to do this to him, but she wasn’t going to give into this fight. He needed his nap or the whole day would be miserable.
She stood him up and wiped away his tears and gave him a kiss on the cheek, he stopped crying when she sat up and held him tight and then she started to tell him his story…
“Once there was a sweet little boy who hated to take his nap, he kicked and he fought and really quite rotten to his mommy who loved him so much, she would snuggle and cuddle and whisper in his ear so that he would calm down…”
He slowly calmed down and listened, not another word spoken. So she laid him down so slowly, he started to whimper and she said “Now, be the nice little boy you are.” He laid there so still and stared at the ceiling listening to this story, his eyes started to roll and close half way and then he would realize they were closing; they’d pop back open as fast as they could and listen to more of the story…
“His puppy was sleeping just like Brax should be, but that silly boy brax, he fought and he fought not physically keep in mind, but mentally you could see. With his eyes rolling back and his little jumps trying to stay awake…”
Finally his eyes were closed his breathing was slow and deep and he received a small kiss on his sweet little cheek, as his mommy quietly crept out of the room she whispered “Good night, Brax.” And as she went on to continue her day, knowing full well that tomorrow around the same time, this adventure would begin again, with a small shred of hope that tomorrow he would give in.
Good Night My Sweet Brax
