MERRY CHRISTMAS!
With Christmas falling on Sunday this year, church being at 9am and our 3yr old not waking up till 11 or 12pm we went straight to church and then came home to see what Santa had brought and open our presents. Braxton did not want to be at church when we got there, so Brandon whispered to him that if he wasn't good, Santa could still come back to our house and take away any presents he left for us. Mean, I know, but it worked he perked right up and was good all through sacrament meeting.
Our Santa Loot!
Brax got exactly what he asked for! A Remote control Car and Cars 2.
Checking out all of his fun new toys and Candy
An extra large present from Santa!
An Art Center!
Logan and his Santa stuff, except the interlocking rings.
Trying out his new binky.
Dad getting all ready to open presents.
Brandon got me some new snow boots and Brax assisted him in giving me a new 10 in. stainless steel skillet. I have a 12 in. but I was wanting another one. I'm slowing trying to change all my pans to stainless steel. So now I have 3 pots and 2 skillets. I think the last one i need is a small 6in saucepan.
Brax helping open the present he picked out for dad all by himself.
He asked for this amazing pricey root beer that you can only get from Wisconsin where he served his mission. So I ordered him a 12pk. But only wrapped one bottle :). Then the present that Brax picked out was the Candy Cane Reeses and the white BYU hat pictured a few pics down.
This kid gets so excited about clothes!
He got a new pair of pants and a new shirt in his favorite color, Orange!
Next it was the dogs turn to open their present from Braxton. which were a fun tennis ball for each of them.
Throwing their new squeaky toy
He put on his new clothes and they made noise...WHAT!?
His pockets had $2 in quarters in them!
All he could say was "Transformers!!! I want to watch Transformers!!" Repeatedly.
Okay, there is a story behind the V.S. bag, on Heidi's birthday Brandon's sisters gave their present to her in a V.S. tote bag. Well, it turned out pretty funny, the question was if it was safe to open in front of everyone.
So Brandon suggested that we repeat the whole thing with this V.S. bag I had but add something silky on the top of the actual present. The silky thing turned out to be a pillow case I found in her laundry room cupboard. What was even funnier is that no one knew who's pillow case it was!
The actual present was from all of the 5 older children, A date night to Texas Roadhouse and Edwards with babysitting
A fun game from Nana and Grandpa Hawkes
And we got a pretty bedding set. Now to just get some king size pillows.
Logan got the cutest softest little bear coat
