Well, my garden wouldn't grow in the darn pools. for one the stupid puppy loves to dig and can jump like 5ft high, so the fence we had around it was useless. and 2nd I think we put too much steer manure in the soil because the plants that didn't get dug up would grow strong and healthy and get about 2 inches high and then just die.
So we have resorted to all my flower pots for our vegetables, this way I will be able to take them with us in August when we move to Thatcher, AZ.
I was teaching Brax how to plant seeds and water them. He thought it was so cool.
Until he saw the dirt on his fingers, then it was "yucky, yucky, yucky"
That's right, Thatcher. We are not moving home in August.
Brandon got accepted to the school there and will also be playing football there. So I have another 16 months in Arizona.
Yesterday was suppose to be our last 90 degree day for a few days so I let Brax jump with the water on. He had so much fun, he was crazy.
This picture is just interesting. It's like it stretched him out because he was jumping so fast.
This is his growling monster face when is coming at you. cute goofball
mid air close up
I would turn the water off and then ask him to be nice, so then he would smile ever so cute at me.
And then came the water!!
One very soggy diaper afterwards
He was all bundled up getting warm and Cooper decided he just had to join him.
Cooper trying to get comfortable
Finally comfortable and cute
Hiding out in his little fort
Since the pools have holes in them for draining the garden attempt, we couldn't use them for swimming. So I emptied one out and used the fencing and rebar to build a little fort for him to play in outside. It is now the first place he goes whenever he walks outside now.
MISCELLANEOUS STUFF
This seems to be his new favorite way to watch TV in our room. We have headphones that Brandon will use when he watches tv late at night when I want to sleep. Well I thought it would be fun to let Braxton try them on. He was amazed and insists on wearing them.
This was him telling me to get out of the way!
I attempted a small garage sale this past Saturday, I only made $25 but hey thats $25 I didn't have before. Braxton loves the neighbors kitty and went into the house and came back out with his sword. (I hate these swords now) He continued to chase the cat around the yard smacking it with his sword.
Little story from last week about his sword:
He was being a 2yr old terror. While I was making dinner, he was hitting the dogs every second he could with one of his swords. ( and it wasn't cause he was bored, I had played with him all day long.) Then I sat him down and told him to stop or I would take his sword away. He looked me straight in the face and hit me IN THE FACE with the sword. I grabbed his arm and told him not to do that again! or I would throw his sword in the garbage. (he knows what that means) I let go and he did it again, like just to see how far he could push me and then just looked at me and got a small grin on his face. I took his sword away from him slapped his hand. Then I folded his sword up and tossed it into the garbage. He wasn't crying, but just looked at me in disbelief.
POOL PARTY PLAY DATE!
We got invited over to a friends house for a play date to go swimming in their new little pool last week. Brax had so much fun, he still continues to grab his swim suit and go to the front door and ask "friends, play, water" It's so sad when I have to tell him no not today.
We will be buying one of these pools a little later on in May, he loved it so much.
The other 2 boys that were there. Well just watching them play made my heart skip a beat a few times. They would stand on the concrete ledge of the fire pit and jump into the 1ft. deep pool.
Luckily my little dare devil, (thinking of changing that name after watching these boys) but Brax didn't even want to try it.
He LOVED the slide
TADA!
He started mowing their lawn with the toy mower
Saying "Hi" to Mom.
SNACK TIME!
Cami (our friend) made whole wheat cinnamon rolls for the kids. Brax was pretty excited about the "nummies"
After the snack she brought out a new sprinkler ( we have the same one, but you need a huge yard to play with it. It goes everwhere!)
Jaden was not very nice and he kept grabbing it and spraying Brax and the other boys. He got in trouble a few times.
Hopefully I can find him one of these down here that works for super cheap next summer.
Can't forget the sleepy dogs.
You get such cute pictures! Your son is adorable! It would be fun to have a trampoline for Paige to play on, especially with the sprinkler- she loves that kind of stuff too! But what kid doesn't? Keep up the fun posts!
ReplyDeleteBraxton really is so cute! Love the trampoline pictures!
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe you are moving to Thatcher! Both of my grandparents were from the gila valley and I love it there. We should come visit you sometime!
